Blender interface and overview

- [Instructor] Now let's take a look at Blender 2.8. Blender 2.8 is free and open source so it allows you a very quick and easy entrance into the world of 3D. So let's take a look at the basic default Blender interface. Now, along the top we have a simple menu system with really just a handful of menus. We have a File menu, an Edit menu, a Render menu as well as a menu that allows you to create new windows, as well as a Help menu. Now further along to the right of this, we have what are called workspaces, and these are just different ways to organize our scenes. And so you notice that the arrangement of windows in Blender can change dramatically depending upon which one of these workspaces you select. Now you can create your own workspaces as well, but for the purposes of this course, we're going to be sticking to the default interface.
