- Now we're going to talk about…some of the edit mesh tools that Maya provides…and these are tools that…can help you reshape an object more quickly,…or add or subtract detail from an object as well.…The first tool we're going to use is called Bevel.…Now typically we use this on edges,…but let's go ahead and show you…how this particular tool works.…I'm going to create…a box.…So we're going to select here on my shelf,…create a polygonal cube…and I'm going to click and drag that into place.…
And then, I want to bevel some of these edges.…Let me just show you some of the basics of it.…I'm going to right-click over my cube…and select an edge.…And then under Edit Mesh,…I'm going to click Bevel.…Basically, what that does is it bevels off that edge.…Now, if I select my object,…I can actually go to my bevel here,…and I can…give it my offset.…
I can change that number if I want.…How much is this being beveled?…You can actually go into your attribute editor as well.…And so, we have our offset.…We have number of segments,…and we have…
