Cell death, or apoptosis, can be animated using nParticles. In this video we look at using nParticles to create this effect.
- [Instructor] Apoptosis, also known as…programmed cell death,…is a physiological process…by which old or diseased cells self-destruct…and allow new, young, and healthy cells to replace them.…In this video, we're going to look at…how to simulate cell death using nParticles.…So, we're going to start off in the FX menu,…then go to nParticles, Create Emitter,…and we want to open the options box.…Under Emitter Type, we want to change this to volume.…
And under the Volume Emitter Attributes,…we want to change the volume shape to a sphere.…And then hit Create.…First thing we want to do is go into our nucleus…then under the Gravity and Wind settings,…we want to change the gravity to zero.…Select your nParticles, then in the Channel box…we want to change the Max Count to 20.…
Selecting your nParticles and going to the Attribute editor,…we want to go down to the shading options.…And under the Particle Render Type,…we want to change this to blobby surface.…If we play this animation,…you can see that our particles are now spheres…
