Animating the arms
- So now we've got the body moving up through the spine, and we've got some good squash and stretch. So let's go ahead and continue on our journey here, and we're going to animate the arms. Arm animation is pretty much a lot of secondary motion, not a lot of squash and stretch going on here, but we do need to understand a little bit how multiple joints work so that way we can get some good motion here. So the first thing I'm going to do is just drop those arms down to the side, so we're going to make the arms hang. It's going to be a fairly neutral pose. Now, we could certainly make him walk with his elbows out or something like that, but we'll just keep this pretty neutral for this particular animation. First thing I want to do is just understand how these arms are going to move. Well, typically, when the foot is forward, the shoulder is back or the arm is back as well, so I'm going to rotate this arm back a little bit here and just give keyframe here.
