- [Emily] Most people aren't very familiar with what happens inside the human body. But yet, knowing what's going on under the skin is crucial to our understanding of health and disease. For over 2,000 years, artists have illustrated the intricate structures of the body, creating images to elucidate medical procedures and record the pathologies of the body. The living body is a complex machine with many processes happening that we cannot see with the naked eye. That's where 3D animation comes in. It helps us to visualize the unseen, bringing scientific and medical animation to life.
You may not realize it, but medical animation is used in all sorts of fields and practices, from medical teaching and information to pharmaceutical ads and medical or crime dramas. It is a highly desirable skill in this ever-growing 3D market. In my LinkedIn learning course on the fundamentals of medical animations, I show you the tools and tricks you need to get started creating your own medical animations in AutoDesk Maya. Scientific accuracy is of great importance. But that's only the start of it.
