Ultimaker Cura 4

- [Instructor] We'll introduce Ultimaker Cura 4.1 here, and then use it for most of the examples for the rest of the course. Cura is an open source program maintained for the community by 3D printer manufacturer Ultimaker. Like all slicing programs, Cura takes an STL file from CAD software and outputs a G-code file. Here we're showing the latest version of Cura, Cura 4.1. There's an older version called Cura 15 which has been adopted by many printer manufacturers. Unless you manufacturer recommends Cura 15, which is older than Cura 4, you should use the latest version of Cura 4. If your 3D printer manufacturer specified Cura they probably are either listed in Cura's setup wizard where they provide a profile. If your printer's not listed in the setup wizard choose Custom, then Custom FFF printer as your option.
