- [Male Narrator] Before I get started with the meat of the course, I'd like to review some of the things that you should know so that you can get the most out of this course. First, you should have basic computer knowledge, such as how to interact with a program and save files. You should also have an ability to use typed commands in a way that's similar to creating Excel formulas. Mathematica has some menu-driven commands that you can use, but a lot of it is done by typing into a notebook window, and, finally, you should have a willingness to explore.
Mathematica 11 is a vast resource with an incredibly varied number of functions and capabilities that you can use. So, if you feel like you're in over your head, don't worry. The information I give you in this course will give you everything you need to know to get started.
