Create a bar chart
- [Instructor] Mathematica has many different ways that you can display your data graphically. One of the simplest ways to display data is to create a bar chart. In this case, we're creating a vertical bar chart, which would be called a column chart in Microsoft Excel. In this movie, I will show you how to create a bar chart and also how to create different types of bar charts based on your data. To start, we'll need a data series to work with. So I'll just type in alist as my variable name, then an equal sign. Then to enumerate the list, a left curly bracket, and I'll enter in four values. 4,500, comma, 3,000, comma, 2,150, comma, 6,879. Then I'll type a right curly bracket to end the list definition, and a Shift + Enter. If I want to create a basic bar chart without changing any options, I can just use the bar chart keyword. So I'll type BarChart. No spaces, and the B and the C are capitalized, Followed by a left square bracket, then alist, right square bracket, and a Shift + Enter,…
