Convert a matrix to a list
- [Instructor] When you create a matrix in Mathematica 11, you build what is essentially a list of lists. So let's say that I want to define a simple matrix. I'll call it mat1, and then I'll type an equal sign, and to do this visually rather than by typing in a whole lot of values and curly brackets, I'll go to the insert menu, and then point to Table Matrix and click New. Then in the Create Table/Matrix dialog box, I'll make sure that the Matrix option is selected which I have here. Then I have the number of rows which I'll change to three, and the number of columns which I will change to two. The settings in your Create Table/Matrix dialog box might be different from mine. The dialog remembers the last set of values that you entered into it, so you might see something different, but now that I have everything set the way I want, I can click okay, and I get my matrix outline. I will click in the top left element, and I'll just enter in a series of values. We're not going to be doing…
