Add comments to a Mathematica script
- [Instructor] Any time you create a Mathematica file or any other sort of program or script, you can help out your colleagues and your future self by adding comments. In this movie I will show you how to add comments and also function related help inside of Mathematica. I have created a blank Mathematica notebook and let's say I want to add a comment line at the top of this particular notebook. To do that type a left parenthesis followed by an asterisk, and now you can start entering your comments. Let's just say, create function as proof of concept. Then I'll close out the comment with an asterisk for by a right parenthesis and shift + enter and I've got my input. Now let's say that I'll create my function. I'll just call it raise r-a-i-s-e, then I'll list my arguments. I need two, so I'll type a left square bracket followed by the letter a followed by an underscore and a comma then b followed by an underscore.
