Time study
- [Instructor] In this movie, I'm going to show you how to do a basic time study. Now, a time study is basically a compare and contrast between two different tool paths that are doing basically the same operation, right? So, we can say, hey we want to run this first operation with maybe a half inch end mill, and then switch over to a different tool and see what the results are going to be, and how much it's going to benefit by switching from one tool to the next. So, let me show you how to do it. So, I'm going to choose this operation number two, which is a surface rough contour, and then I copied it down here to operation number three. So, they're the same operation. And I just switched out the tools. So, the first operation here is going to be using a half inch end mill, you can see right here, and then the secondary one is going to be using a 5/8 inch ball end mill.
