Join J. Scott Giaquinta for an in-depth discussion in this video Using the exercise files, part of EDM Production Techniques: Basslines.
If you're a premium member of lynda.com, you have access to the exercise files used throughout this course. Once you download the zip file from this course's page on the website, you can double click to unzip the file. Inside, you'll see a folder for each chapter, and in each one I've provided you with an Ableton live 9.1 session file for each video. If you use a different doll many of the production of mixing techniques that I'll be sharing with you, will still apply. And I hope that you'll still get a lot out of the course. Alternatively, you can use your own material and follow along with my techniques.
You may want to acquire trial versions of native instruments Massive Soft Send if you don't own it. And also some of the plug ins I'll be using in my demonstrations including BX control V2 from Brain Works which is also available through Plugin Alliance, and also PSP Vintage Warmer 2 tape saturator. If you are a monthly member or annual member of Lynda.com, you don't have access to the exercise files, but you can easily follow along using your own material. So let's get underway.
