Sidechaining

- [Voiceover] It's come time for us to use the "s" word from electronic music. That word is sidechain. Sidechaining in this case, in MASSIVE, does not relate to compression. In fact, sidechaining in and of itself usually just means that we're taking a signal from somewhere and using it to affect some sort of control in a different context. Okay. So like sidechaining compression is taking one signal and using it to trigger a compressor that's on another channel. In this case what we're gonna do is actually sidechain our control signals. And essentially all that means is we're gonna use one control signal to scale another. Sound complicated? It really isn't. So, I'm gonna go ahead and take this new instance of MASSIVE and I'm gonna take an LFO and put it onto the pitch. Look in here, we've got our LFO sound here.
