Write effective titles
- [Narrator] Writing titles for your videos will be one of the more challenging and yet rewarding aspects of video optimization. I'm going to show you seven ways to do this. A good title has to accomplish the following. Describe the content, use keywords, give a reason to watch, create excitement, and answer the searcher's question. And it has to do all of this in about 60 characters in order to avoid being cut off on the results page. So while you need to use keywords, the video title should be written to get the attention and to communicate with your intended audience. First, the click bait method. This relies on sensationalizing the title with outrageous claims, all caps text, and usually, over the top promises, even misspellings and more to get attention, such as I trained my dog using applesauce as a reward.
