Why having a good number of reviews is important
- The number of reviews a business has on a search engine, plays a big part in customer perception. If you have one bad review, that review will be amplified. For example, a local spa I know got one bad review from a customer who was allergic to their vitamin C treatment and did not let the business know of the allergy beforehand. Yikes. Now this one bad review led to five additional bad reviews. The tone for the business is now negative and customers respond in kind, by posting their complaints. Yikes. They joined the complaint bandwagon. Boo! It would be impossible to remove that original bad review, but as soon as it happened, the business should have addressed it immediately and directly. This might have led to fewer additional bad reviews. So what is a good number of positive reviews? Try to aim for at least five to 10 unique reviews across platforms. For example, one review on Facebook, two reviews on Yelp, and 3 positive Google search results. How many positive reviews does…
