And it's so applicable to conflict resolution because a common mistake people make is to think, "Well, we've always done it this way." And frankly, always doing it that way does not mean that you have resolved it. In fact, most of the time, you're just resolving it the same way over and over again. This is a common issue because people are already uncomfortable with conflict. So, solving it the same way over and over just makes them feel better, but it doesn't actually do anything. And, they never stopped to ask themselves why the issue keeps coming up. Well, it's probably because it was never resolved well in the first place.
