- [Instructor] Okay, so how do you actually get a test live? At a high level website testing is simply showing different variations of your web pages to visitors to uncover which one enables users to take the action you want to happen. Now, ideally you want to get over 10,000 visitors per month going to your test, so you can reach statistical significance on your experiment. Your original page is the Control Page, you're running experiments on. This is the page you want to improve. Your testing tool will select a certain percentage of your users to see the control page and the rest will go to your new test variations. The tool then drops a cookie on the visitor's web page to make sure they always see the same variation. Whether you have one variation or multiple variations, you want to always have a control page.
