- [Instructor] The biggest lead gen challenge for my clients is finding quality leads that convert to customers. I help them overcome this challenge through effective customer targeting. The best marketers and salespeople know their customers, who they are, and how they buy. Some even know their customers better than their own families or friends. The more you know, the more effectively you can target leads with the best chance to convert to a customer. Start by defining your target's demographics to understand who they are. Some examples are age, gender, geography, income, marital status, household size, education, or profession. Then determine your target's psychographics. This is a method to understand common mindsets or interests, such as habits, attitudes, emotions, preferences, values, personality, lifestyle, or hobbies.
