- [Anson] A creative way to add content to your Instagram feed without having to do a lot of the heavy lifting yourself, is to repost photos that other users have uploaded. But there isn't a feature built into Instagram to do this. Let's look at a quick, manual way to repost photos on Instagram. Once we found the photo that we'd like to repost, we can take a screenshot of it with our device. On an iPhone or iPad, you can do this by pressing the Home button and the Sleep Wake button at the same time. On an android device, you can press and hold the Power button and the Volume button at the same time.
Now we can go ahead and repost it. I'm going to tap on the Plus icon at the bottom of the screen. You'll notice that this photo is already in my devices' camera roll. So I can see it when I go add a new post on Instagram. Remember to crop the photo if the Instagram user interface is getting in the way. When you're ready, tap Next at the top right. We don't need to use a filter because the original uploader already did, so just tap Next again. Now we can go ahead and add a caption to this photo. Always remember to give credit to the original uploader by add mentioning them in the caption section to avoid getting in trouble.
When we're ready, we can tap on Share. The user that originally uploaded the photo will be mentioned, because we add mentioned them in the captions and they'll be able to see that we reposted some of their content. Maybe it will start a conversation and lead to some collaboration in the future. There you have it, a quick way to repost photos on Instagram.
