- [Instructor] Search engines have changed dramatically over the years. The way that they process searches has evolved from a simple matching algorithm to one that predicts the searcher's intent. Here's an example. If I searched for how to train my dog to sit. Years ago, Google and YouTube would attempt to find a matching result, video or webpage that matched the entire phrase with all of the words. While a good early attempt to find relevance, the relevance was based on the phrase and all the words in it but not the intent or the content of the search. Now, if I search for the same phrase I'll see results using the words teaching, training, commands, behavior and more, all related to dog training. The context of the page with a video may include teaching a dog how to sit but it focuses on my intent as a searcher. Here's the idea, if the page has content about dogs, sitting, staying, tricks, training, commands…
