- [Anson] Custom reports in Google AdWords allow us to effectively gauge the success of YouTube advertising campaigns. From the reports section of AdWords, you can create a completely custom report by clicking on the plus button and then choosing the type of report that you'd like to create. I find it easier however, to run a predefined report from the right side of the screen, and then customize it to my liking. For example, let's create a basic campaign report. To add items to this report, we can drag any of the items over on the left side of the screen to the middle of the screen.
For example, let's say that we want to add our average CPV, or Cost Per View, we can find it in the list and then drag it over here to the right. Let's also add interaction rate and engagement rate, and if we scroll to the right in our report, we can see that these fields have now been added. We can also remove any fields by clicking on the X, so let's remove campaign type. If you click on the downward facing arrow in the top right of the screen, you can download the report into a .csv file and then import it into Excel.
When you're done, it's a good idea to save the report so that you have easy access to it later on.
