- [Instructor] At this point, we've gathered that it's incredibly important for search engines to be able to see and understand your content, but they need to be able to find that content in the first place, and the crawlability of your site determines how likely it is Google can find all the pages you want indexed. The internet is huge. New content pops up every second, and even though Google has a massive technology stack, they're up against the never-ending creation of content. With finite resources, Google can only crawl a portion of the web, and for everything it's crawled, it can only index a portion. Now, this crawl part is actually fairly unsophisticated. Google travels around clicking URLs until it gets to your site's content. Now, if your URLs are complicated, disorganized, redundant, or your server is riddled with errors, crawlers waste their time, and you miss the opportunity for indexing.
