- [Instructor] You've undoubtedly heard the business expression don't try to boil the ocean. And this holds true in SEO, as well. It's really easy to try and go for it all. But it's impossible. In fact, most high-ranking websites that you encounter will fail in several areas of optimization. Let's take a few searches for example. I did a search for Nike running shoes. And, right away, we can see Nike is in the top listing, but look at this URL structure. It's nothing terribly impressive. They've the got the US and then English underscore US and then a directory, running shoes, and then a numerical value. In fact, most of their listings look pretty similar. In fact, it's not until we get to Foot Locker that we see someone actually using breadcrumbs. And if I pull up the structured data testing tool for Nike shop, they're not even using any structured data. I did another search for top coffee in New York City.
