With traditional advertising, you can select newspapers, magazines, radio stations, et cetera, based on location. You can also select media relevant to an industry, or job title. Such as, PrintWeek for a print industry event, or Marketing Week for events that need to attract attendants from marketers. Online advertising is also a good way to reach your target audience. When they are searching for you, or keywords associated with your event, you can use pay-per-click advertising to provide information. You can also use banner and display advertising to show information to your target audience when they're browsing online. Also consider retargeting.
