Screen grabs: Mac OS X El Capitan Tips and Tricks

A screen grab or a Screen shot is when you take a picture of whatever is on your screen at any given moment. You’ve got more options with screen grabs than you might expect. There are easy keyboard shortcuts for taking a picture of the whole screen or just a specific selection on the screen. There's even an option for quickly capturing an image of a single window. If you don't want to remember keyboard shortcuts, you can also use the Grab application, which is bundled with OS X.
