The Photos application is used to store, organize, and view a library of pictures. In this movie, we'll import pictures into the library. We'll start with pictures that are in a folder, then we'll import pictures from a camera. Finally, we'll look at the editing tools in the Photos application.
- [Instructor] Photos is an application…that comes bundled with macOS…that's used for storing, organizing, and editing…pictures on your computer.…I have Photos here in the dock.…I can see the icon here,…and the application is simply known as Photos.…So I can click on the icon on the dock to launch it,…and now I can browse through my library.…Now over here on the sidebar on the left,…there are a bunch of categories…that we're going to talk about…as we go through this chapter,…but for now, I want to make sure…that I'm on the main Photos library…just by clicking on this item up at the top.…So now I can scroll through my collection of photos.…
I can scroll up and down,…and when I find a picture that I want to look at,…I can double-click on it to see it larger.…Then from here, I can point at…either the right or the left side of the picture…and click on these arrows…to flip forward or backward through my collection.…And when I'm finished looking at my photos,…I double-click again and it goes back to the list.…So this is what it looks like…
