Multitask between multiple applications
- [Instructor] When you have multiple applications open and you need to jump back and forth between them, this is known as multitasking. Now first you need to know which application is currently active. On my screen, I have several applications open but the calculator is the active application. It's on the top of the stack, but more importantly it's the application whose menus are visible up here at the top. Notice how this first menu is labeled as calculator. The active application has your focus. Menu commands and keyboard shortcuts will only work in the application that is active. Now I can easily switch to another application by just clicking on that application window. So if I click on the photos window, that becomes the active application and we're already multitasking.
