- [Instructor] With the upgrade to Catalina, there are some points to keep in mind before proceeding either personally or at scale in an enterprise. Of course, first and foremost, be sure that all updates have been run on the target computer before performing the major OS upgrade. If you have users who use the dashboard, please inform them that the dashboard is gone in Catalina. Be aware, the Stickies content from the dashboard is automatically migrated to the Stickies app and can be used there after the upgrade. The 32-bit to 64-bit move is complete. As of 10.15, be sure there are no 32-bit apps on the target system before upgrade. Use MDM or system information locally to review apps and make plans for replacements for old 32-bit apps if necessary before the upgrade. You open System Information, got to Software, Applications and under each application, look for 64-Bit Intel and either Yes or No. If it says…
