Deploying profiles
- [Instructor] We've seen that MDM profile can be easy. Now that you know how, let's look at what it looks like when we deploy a profile. We've configured a profile to enable caching server, so let's deploy that profile to our enrolled system. We go to Computers, and down to Configuration Profiles, and here we have our Content Caching profile. Now, there's two ways we can go about doing this. One is we can download the profile and simply install it. Press Download, it brings up System Preferences, click Continue, and you'll install it, but another way of doing this is to simply scope it to the computer because the computer has been enrolled into the MDM. So, we click Edit, under Scope, and Specific Computers is the target, and Specific Target Users is the target. You don't ever want to do all in either of those locations, otherwise every system associated with your MDM will end up with whatever this profile happens to be. So,…
