Setting up preferences
MYOB Account Right has eight types of preferences that can be set in a data file to reflect the way a business would like to use the software. When a data file is first opened, some preferences are already set. However these can be changed, by setting preferences in the data file Certain reminders, actions and warning happens. To set the preferences for the company file, go to the Setup menu at the top of the screen. Choose the Preferences. There are eight different types of preferences. We have System, Windows, Reports and Forms, Banking, Sales, Purchases, Inventory and Security. Let's first start by looking at the Security tab. In all the Preference tabs there are two preference types. System-wide and User-specific. System-wide Preferences affect all users who log into the data file, whereas User-specific Preferences only affect the current user of the data file.
