- [Instructor] In this video, I'm going to create the materials for the small LED at the bottom of the control panel, and it's made up of three different materials. There's a metallic base, which is this ring around it. Then there's a transparent dome, and within that transparent dome, there's a bright bulb. I'll start with the metallic base. This is going to be a relatively polished chrome, so I'm going to set the diffuse amount to 0, the specular amount to 60, and I'll set the roughness down to 10 to make a glossy metal. Next, I'll select this LED material, which is going to be the transparent dome, and because it's going to be transparent, I'll set the diffuse amount to 0. I'm going to determine the specularity by using the refractive index. I'm going to check this use refractive index option and I'm going to set the refractive index to 1.4, which is typical for a plastic.
