- In this video, I'm going to show you how to model the side panels on the shoe. And in this case, I've already made a head start because it's simply a repetition of the already familiar retopology workflow. So I've used the pencil and the topology pen in the topology tools tab to create the initial geometry which you can see here. And these consists of really simple strips of quad polygons just following the guides provided by the projected texture. So far, so familiar. However, I'm now going to depart from our previous workflow because I'm not going to extrude these procedurally. And that's because these shapes are going to require a little bit of additional modeling which we can only do using the destructive tool set. So I'm going to zoom back out to take a look at the mesh and I'm going to hide the shoe template mesh and reveal the shoe thickened mesh.
