Selecting materials
- [Instructor] In this video I'm going to show you how you can quickly select materials in your scene to edit them. So the first method is to select materials directly in the Shader Tree. For example, if I want to edit this color, the side panel, select the sides material, in the Shader Tree, select the material itself, click on the color swatch, and then I can change the color. I can also select a material directly in Open GL. For example, if I want to select this orange material, at the front of the train, just hover over the material itself in Open GL, right-click, go to Shaders, and here I can see a list of the shaders under the mouse. So I'm going to select the material. Once I do that, it selects it in the Shader Tree. I know that a really handy way to quickly select materials in your scene is to use Preview. I'm going to hit F8 to open a new preview window, and I'll launch the preview. Now let's say I want to select this yellow material on the wheels. All I need to do is to…
