Retopology

- [Instructor] With the modeling of the sole now complete, I can move on to the rest of the shoe. In the item list, I'm going to hide the sole template mesh because we now have the completed sole and I'm going to reveal the shoe template mesh. And this is going to form the basis for the rest of my modeling. I'll head over to the item list and I'm going to hit the N key to create a new empty mesh item which I'm going to name, shoe topology. Then I'll enter into polygon mode and I'll switch to the topology tools and I'll zoom in on my shoe model to take a look at what I actually need to do. And once again, I'm going to use a projected texture as a guide. And this means that I'm going to need to think about the polygon flow as I re-topologize this mesh. And one thing I'm going to need to account for, are these sleeves, these lace holders pass through. And the best way to create these will be to initially leave a hole…
