- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to take a look at a couple of different methods for UV projection. Now, in most cases, the quickest way of creating a projection is to use the project tool in atlas mode, like we did in the first video, which is what I'm doing here. Let me just hit Q to drop the tool. Now the problem with this method is that it creates a lot of seams. So in this example, we can see that it split up the sides of the cylinder into four completely separate islands, which means there's a whole bunch of unnecessary seams. So I need to find a better way of unwrapping the sides of the cylinder. I'm going to right-click and lasso select those faces. And I'm going to run the project tool again, but this time I'm going to change the projection type from atlas to cylindrical. And with that done, I hit Q to drop the project tool. And so, by running the project tool in cylindrical mode, you can see that it's unwrapped this entire island as one piece, meaning there'll only…
