Projection painting the shoe and the sole
- [Instructor] So now that the prototype measures have been UV mapped we can projection paint the 2D designs onto them. And this is a quick and straightforward process. Let me show you how you do it. First of all, I'm just going to set a few things up. I'll start by hiding the background meshes just 'cause I find it easier to concentrate on one mesh at a time. Then I'm going to switch into the front view. Let me just adjust the viewport. I'll go into polygon mode and then head over to the tools and switch to the painting and sculpting tools and to the painting tab. But before I start actually painting, I'm going to need to create a material and also an image to actually paint the texture onto. So I'll head over here and open the shading tab and with my mesh selected in polygon mode I'm going to hit the M key on the keyboard and I'm going to create a new material called shoe and click okay.
