Items vs. components

- [Instructor] It's important to understand this because if you inadvertently move geometry in Component mode when you meant to move it in Item mode, your item centers are going to get messed up and I can demonstrate that. If I switch out of Polygon mode and back into Item mode and hit W to activate my move tool, you can see my move handle is no longer in the center of my cube, but it's here to the side and that's because I moved the geometry in Component mode, which moves the geometry itself but not the center. If you do ever accidentally move your item in Component mode and mess up the relationship between geometry and the item center, it's very easy to fix. All you need to do is make sure you are in Item mode and you go to the Edit menu and then go Center to Bound in Box, Center. And as you can see, that has placed my item's center back in the middle of my cube where it belongs.
