Importing sketches and creating backdrops
- [Instructor] When modeling from reference, the first step is going to be to pull your reference images into Modo. And in this case, we have a 2D design that we want to recreate in 3D. So in this video, I'm going to import all of my 2D elevations and assign them to what are called backdrop items in Modo. So let's start by importing the images, making sure that you're in the default Modo layout. If your top toolbar is not visible, then just go to the top of the open GL viewport and just highlight this gray bar and click on the arrow. And that will reveal a toolbar which allows you to customize your workspace. And I'm going to head over to the rights and click on this icon with a picture. And that's going to open the clip browser. Then, I'll click on add clip, select load image, that's going to open a file explorer. And I'm simply going to shift select all of the images that I want to import and click on open. With that…
