- In this video, we're going to look at some of the duplication options that are available in Modo. Now, duplication operations can either be carried out in item mode, as I am now, or in any one of the three component modes. So for the purposes of demonstration, let's work in polygon mode. So let's begin by looking at the clone tool. Once you select the tool, you'll need to click in the view port in order to activate it, and the point at which you click would determine where the cloning operation is going to originate from. So I'm going to click in the center of the cube, and then I'm going to drag on the red handle to clone in the x axis. And then I could determine the number of clones in the properties here, so I can extend it to four clones, for example. And while the tool is live, I can alter the spacing of the clones by dragging on the transform arrows. And I can offset the clones in the X, the Y, and the Z.
