Creating a speaker 5: Assigning materials
- [Narrator] In this video, I'm going to be assigning materials to our speaker. We're going to need four separate materials. We're going to a matte wood, for the speaker cabinet itself. We're going to need a shiny plastic for the enclosure of the woofer, and of the tweeter. We're going to need a very matter, paper-like material for the woofer. And a shiny, metallic material for the tweeter. Let's start with the woofer. I'm going to paint select these four polygons in the center of the woofer, and then holding down shift and up arrow, I'm going to expand this selection to the edges of the woofer, and then I'll hit the "m" key to bring up the assign material dialogue. I'm going to name this material woofer, and I'll hit OK. Then, I'm going to hit the "h" key to hide those polygons because now I've assigned a material to them, I want them out of the way. I use the same process to assign a material to the tweeter. I'm going to paint select these four polygons in the center of the tweeter.…
