Creating the black keys

- [Instructor] It's time to start modeling the black keys. The reason that I'm modeling the black keys first is because the white keys are going to need to fit around them. I've created a new empty mesh item named black keys. Before I start modeling, I'm just going to use the page up key to bring the work pane up until it's roughly in line with the top of these keys, I can see this just intercepting here. And then in component mode I'm going to select the cube primitive, and I'm going to draw out a shape to define my first black key. I'll just make it a fraction taller, and a fraction thinner, just bring it down very slightly, maybe just slightly thinner still. Then I'll switch to the top view, and to wire frame mode, and then let's zoom in on this key, and I just need to place it exactly in the center in between the two template keys underneath. Then I'll pull the rear of it back, under the key bed, and I'll switch back to perspective view and to the default shading mode. And then…
