Advanced compositing techniques
- [Narrator] In this video, I'm going to demonstrate some basic compositing techniques. Compositing is the process of rebuilding a render in post production, using what are known as render outputs. And the most common render output is the final color output. Which is the final state of the scene, sometimes known as the beauty pass. This final color output can actually be recreated by adding together all the shading outputs individually. And so in order to do this, you need to add those shading outputs at the top of your shader tree. The way you do this, is you go to add layer, render outputs, shading and the outputs that you need to add are the defuse shading direct, defuse shading indirect, luminous shading, reflection shading, specular shading, subsurface shading and transparent shading. And once you've added all those render outputs to your shader tree, it'll simple render automatically every time you do a production render. You can also see them in preview by going to the effects…
