- You'll probably find that you need to spend…a lot of time in the Lync Server Management Shell,…about 25 percent of the things that can be done…with the product have to be done from the command line.…So when you have the tools installed,…you can just go in to Start, All Programs,…Lync Server 2010 and launch the Management Shell from there.…What you'll get is a screen that looks like this.…So it's a customized instance of PowerShell.…So you can go in here, kinda clean up the screen,…and then from there you can run commands…like Get-CsAdUser, that will show you…all the Active Directory users, so maybe do a select here,…look for the same account name for all those folks.…
You can see all of those people are on an Active Directory…they can be enabled for Lync.…We'll go deeper into this,…but this is just to give you a basic idea.…Now this instance of the shell is actually loading…PowerShell module called Lync,…so if you do a Get-Module,…you'll see that the Lync module is installed here,…or actually loaded when you start…
