Join Mike Pfeiffer for an in-depth discussion in this video Enable users for Unified Messaging, part of Lync 2010: Deploying Configuring and Administering.
- Server infrastructure is now in place…and we're ready to start enabling users…for unified messaging where we just have to go…to their mailbox really and set them up for voicemail.…What that'll look like here is you'll come under…the exchange counsel under recipient…configuration under mailbox.…So you'll scroll down to, I think I had a user out there…that was enterprise voice enabled in Lync…called Erica May so I'm going to go to that user,…I'm going to right click, and I'm going to choose…the option to enable unified messaging.…So this will take you through a short wizard.…You want to make sure that the users have been…enterprise voice enabled in Lync prior…to running through this step.…
But once the wizard comes up,…you'll want to pick the mailbox policy that you…configured while you were setting up your dial plan.…I just have the one out there so that's pretty easy.…Then here we have the option to choose…what to do with the PIN number.…So again, when the user calls voicemail,…they're going to have to dial in a PIN.…
