System frequency and frame rate

- The frequency that you're GH5 is set to determines what frame rates you can shoot at. In the previous video, we looked at a variety of frame rates that were all tied to the NTSC frequency. In this video, we're going to look at how to change that frequency, and then take a look at the different frame rates that go along with it. So first, how to change the frequency. If you go to the Menu, and then navigate to the Settings, you'll find on page three of four, System Frequency. By default, it's probably set to either NTSC or PAL. Mine's set to NTSC. We'll go ahead and switch that down to PAL. Pal is a 50 hertz frequency. So the important thing to consider here is that the frame rates that you can shoot at while in the PAL setting are all going to be variants of that frequency. So while at NTSC, we were at 59.94, that meant we could shoot at 23.98, at 29.97, and at 59.94. With a frequency of 50 hertz, we'll be able to shoot at 25 or at 50.
