- Getting the best autofocus performance out of your GH5 is more than just setting the right focus mode. It's also knowing how to take control of the areas that you're able to take control of, for example, what point you want to focus on. While things like face detection and 225-Area Focus are great for a lot of purposes, sometimes you just want to tell the camera where to focus and you want to do it quickly. That's where a variety of different functions that we're going to go over in this video come into play. The first most obvious one is the brand new joystick that's on the GH5. This joystick on the back of the camera makes it really, really easy to navigate around and point at the scene exactly where you want the camera to focus on. It's quick, it's easy, and it's always there, but it's not necessarily the fastest way to do it.
