The Erase tool is an intelligent way to remove unwanted objects from a photo. In this video, Derrick Story shows you how to use the Erase tool. Luminar is a modern image editor for both Mac and PC platforms. It provides photographers with the tools they need to creatively edit their images quickly and easily.
- [Instructor] The Erase tool is one of those magical tools…that I'm so often thankful for.…And one of the things that has been killing me…till we get to this movie has been this blue helmet sitting…on (chuckles) the ground right here.…I'm going, I got to get rid of that, got to get rid of that,…and then I'm saying, no, we got to wait…till we get to the Erase movie.…Do not do it ahead of time.…So here we are, and we're going to get rid…of that blue helmet.…Now, we get to the Erase tool right up here…under the Tools popup.…There it is.…
And once you select it,…then the application will prepare for erasing,…and it creates a new layer as part of the preparation.…So you don't have to create a new adjustment layer.…Luminar will do it for you.…So here we are, and we're ready to go.…So you have a brush sort of thing here like this…for add and subtract.…You have a Lasso tool.…You can clear your selection.…You can set the size…like this, the diameter.…And then you click Erase itself.…
So let's do a little warmup…before we go after the blue helmet there.…
