Luminar has a handful of softening filters. In this video, Derrick Story shows you how to use the softening filters to add mood to your shot. Luminar is a modern image editor for both Mac and PC platforms. It provides photographers with the tools they need to creatively edit their images quickly and easily.
- [Instructor] The softening filters in Luminar…are absolutely wonderful.…I mean, these are some of my favorite effects…in this application.…And in fact, we have three of them…to add to our noteworthy filters.…So I'm going to show them to you right now.…We have soft focus, Orton effect…and image radiance.…Now, image radiance specifically isn't a softening filter,…it's an effects filter,…but a lot of times I use it as such.…I'm going to show you each of them right now.…We'll start with soft focus, which is more…of a traditional softening filter,…like what you would put over…the front of a camera lens.…
Now there are two types here.…Soft focus one and two.…Let me just show you each.…You just move the amount up…and you can see the effect.…Of course, I'm exaggerating.…I wouldn't normally do it quite this strong.…But you can bring the brightness down.…This is one of the reasons why…I like soft focus, is because I do have…that brightness slider.…And it gives me some control…and there there is a second soft focus number two…
