The Denoise filter helps you control unwanted noise in your pictures, as does the Noiseless plugin. In this video, Derrick Story shows you how to use both filters. Luminar is a modern image editor for both Mac and PC platforms. It provides photographers with the tools they need to creatively edit their images quickly and easily.
- [Instructor] Noise doesn't rear its ugly head very often,…but when it does we have to deal with it.…And here's a perfect example,…this snapshot of a lunar eclipse that's fading,…well we have a lot of noise in this shot as you can see.…And I picked this shot to really…make it easy to see the noise.…I don't want to do one of these little subtle things.…So at the base layer, I have develop and vignette,…so I did a little bit of that, and by the way,…here's a fun fact that I didn't mention before.…When you're working on a jpeg, it becomes the develop filter…and when you're working on a raw file…it'll say raw develop right there.…
That's kind of fun, right?…So we're working on a jpeg right now, so it says develop.…The sliders work on both types of files,…but now I want to deal with this noise…and we have a denoise filter available to us,…and what I like to do is put them on separate layers.…And the reason why is because you can build up denoise,…you can have more than one layer.…So let's go ahead and turn on this layer right here.…
