You can merge multiple layers on to a single layer. In this video, Derrick Story shows you how to create a stamped layer. Luminar is a modern image editor for both Mac and PC platforms. It provides photographers with the tools they need to creatively edit their images quickly and easily.
- [Instructor] After you've worked on an image…for a while,…you can end up with quite a few layers,…and if you want to merge them all together to one layer…to maybe play with it a little bit,…you can do that,…and that's called a stamped layer.…Let's create one right now.…I'm going to come up to the plus,…and you see it right there,…Create New Stamped Layer.…And what it does is it merges all those layers,…vignette, lips, skin soften,…all that good stuff,…into one layer…and puts it at the top of the stack.…Now, for example,…what I can do is let's add a filter.…
Let's go to black and white conversion.…So now when I play with the black and white conversion,…I have the benefit of all the other things that I've done,…removing the hair,…softening the skin,…all that good stuff is just right here on the stamped layer,…and I can have a whole lot of fun…doing all sorts of creative techniques.…And since it is a layer,…I can turn it on and off…and just come right back to my color…and then go back to my black and white.…So stamped layers definitely have their place…
